Although I am not a poet, two of my poems have been accepted into this collection. The book will be available soon through Amazon. Here is information about the book and an interview I did with one of the coordinators! Enjoy!

This week we are delighted to feature prolific Author Tk Cassidy Fleming. TK hails from Montana and now calls Tuscaloosa Alabama in the United States home where she lives on The Black Warrior River with her husband and furbaby Maggie. TK has always been drawn to writing. From the moment she first held a pencil, she felt a profound sense of purpose. By the age of seven, she had already developed a writer’s callus on her finger – a testament to her unwavering dedication that persists even after 60 years.
TK’s life led her through 38 states in the US and placed her in Australia and Guam. It was during her time in Guam that she authored over 150 children’s stories. Her best known story ‘Dolphin’ ushered her into becoming a travelling storyteller nicknamed ‘Dolphin Lady’.
TK has a Bachelors in English and Library Science, a Masters in Library Science and a Doctorate in Virtual Education. She spent 25 years as a children’s librarian, now retired TK spends a minimum of 4 hours a day writing, churning out one novel per year. TK edits for several authors and is an active member of the Tuscaloosa Writers and Illustrators Guild.
TK’s versatility as a writer is evident in her inability to confine herself to a single genre. At times, her wicked sense of humor takes center stage, crafting stories about unlikely characters like 70-year-old sisters turned cat burglars (yes, really!) or the endearing Scruffy, whose quest for a grand prize will leave you in stitches.
TK’s repertoire extends far beyond comedic capers. Explore her compelling tales of love that transcend time and delve into the mysterious realm of the paranormal. Or immerse yourself in the multi-generational saga of an apartment with secrets untold.
TK has added poetry to her canon with the publication of two poems in The World in our Words. These humorous poems will add a touch of levity to your day. Being a part of this collaboration has been amazing for TK as she does not consider herself a poet. On her experience she says ‘Watching the wide diversity of poets come together to create this work of art has been wonderful to witness, coming together with a minimum of professional disagreement. The leaders of this world could take notes’!
It took TK 24 years to write her first novel, she has published 4 with 14 waiting in the wings. Keep an eye out for Whoodah Thunket and the Girls which is currently being made into a movie, coming to a screen near you!
TK is a voracious reader, enjoying a wide variety of genres varying from Janet Evanovich’s hysterical Stephanie Plum series to Stephen King’s latest thriller to John Grisham’s on the edge mysteries. Recently she has enjoyed a boost from Stephen King’s ‘On Writing’. While gaining much needed guidance from the Save the Cat series which focuses on the task of changing a novel into a movie script.
To finish I shall leave you with TK’s favourite quote which I think sums up her comedic flare… “Lied? Of course I lied! I’m a writer. I give the truth … scope!” Paul Betany as Chaucer in The Knight’s Tale.
